Today’s is my dad’s birthday. Charles Thomas Buckley is 67 years old. He will hate that I am telling the world how old he is, but oh well.
If you know me personally, you know how much I love my dad and I talk about him all the time. I haven’t talked about him much on this blog, but there’s not really any particular reason why I haven’t. I am so incredibly lucky to have a dad like I do. He’s smart, he’s hard-working, he’s supportive, he’s caring, he’s understanding, he’s flipping hilarious, and so on and so on. I know it sounds totally trite and cliche, but he’s not just my dad, he’s my best friend.
No matter what has happened in my life, he’s been there, and he’s been there 100% – for me AND my sister. I would not be who I am or where I am today if it weren’t for my dad.
Dad, I love you. I say it a lot, but I still don’t feel like it’s often enough, but I am so incredibly grateful to have you in my life. Happy Birthday.
I used to make my dad play Pretty, Pretty Princess with me all the time. And he would. If that's not the sign of an amazing dad, I don't know what is.
me and dad, April 2010 at the In Rememberance memorial ceremony for Vietnam Veterans who died after the war.
Love you, Dad.
“19 So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. 22 You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” -Ephesians 2:19-22

Well said Molly!
