You guys, I am gonna be real with you for a second. I have a lot of fun with the creativity associated with putting together an “outfit” or whatever you wanna call it. But I do NOT love taking pictures of myself and I do not love when I awkwardly think my neighbors think I’m nuts for taking these photos in our driveway.

No matter how many ways from Sunday I try to play it off, it just looks weird.

So, can we all just own it?

I now have started waving to my neighbors as I take my photos. At least that way they think I’m a friendly and neighborly nutcase.

Moving on to the TREND OF THE MONTH CHALLENGE. I love Marion over at Marionberry Style. She’s pretty darn awesome. She’s hilarious, she is a teacher, and she’s got way better style than me. Also, her teaching stories are so funny.

Well, each month Marion hosts a “Trend of the Month Challenge” – where you get a, well, trend, for that month, to create an outfit or look with, and then you link up on her blog.

Anyway, this month’s trend is YELLOW. You know, simple as that. The color YELLOW.

SO, I put together a little diddy yesterday with some YELLOW in it.

Ya heard?

the look you see before you below is my, “Oh what’s that over there?” pose. again, avoiding the looks from neighbors. BAHAHA.

    I’m loving your yellow! Taking pictures in public is one of the most awkward things ever for me. I always try to find the least populated areas away from home. :)

    oh so funny! I can relate to the staring neighbors. i take a lot of my outfit photos at work (outside) and it seems like everyone has to take their trash out right when im taking photos! awkward! haha.
    come visit me if you have time. my blog is newer (and not quite as pretty as yours) i have to work on it when i get time but i hope to get there eventually! :)

    i love your outfit! i often wear a tank, belted with a cardigan for work… but i never thought to pair it with shorts.. so cute! and i hate when the neighbors stare at you. so awkward. they just don’t get it ;)

    Uh, yeah. I feel like a FOOL when I take photos of myself. After confessing my disdain for taking photos for my blog, some readers told me that I should own it, get over my fear, and take the photos. I’m getting better. I wouldn’t say that I completely and totally own it–but I’m on my way, Miss Molly. I’m on my way!!

    How cute is that ruffled top?! I’ve been straying from taking photos right outside my apt because it attracts too many neighbors. I actually like it better when I’m in a public place where no one else knows me. I don’t care as much if strangers think I’m crazy :)

    I love yellow!! very cute outfit molly!! and I don’t like taking pics of myself either. that is why I only do it on my deck where no one can see me. : )

    This made me laugh Molly! My neighbors end up coming outside EVERY time I take outfit pics…even if it happens to be at 9am on Saturday! Maybe next time I’ll just try to own it instead of wanting to hide :) Love the yellow cardi and denim shorts…so cute!
