My Attempt at Fashion: THE LACE DRESS

THE LACE DRESS THE LACE DRESS You guys, that right there (above) is my attempt at getting artsy. WHAT?

I know, I know. But there’s not much I can do when I don’t really have a photographer. I should actually show you the totally awkward process I go through to take self-portraits. But I’ve been trying to make different backgrounds happen, and this was my attempt at that last week. You’ll see some new backgrounds pop up here and there over the next little while, cause, well, I’m trying.

Anywho. This, ladies and gents, is THE LACE DRESS.

THE LACE DRESS

I’d always wanted a lace dress, but wouldn’t cough up the American dollhairs for one. And then, one day when doing some wedding planning last winter, I was a wee stressed. And so I did what I usually do when I’m stressed… I start looking at Pinterest. It calms my nerves. And, well, this pin came across my screen and I saw this dress, saw the PRICE TAG ($60!), and knew I had to own it. PLUS, I needed a rehearsal dinner dress, so I was killing two birds with one stone.

YA HEAR? This was my rehearsal dinner dress! And it was PERFECT. And now it’s my favorite dress I own.

Why? WHY is it my favorite dress?

  1. I can dress it up
  2. I can dress it down
  3. I can wear heels with it
  4. I can wear cowboy boots with it
  5. It’s lace
  6. IT HAS POCKETS!!! I would like to one day personally thank the inventor of pockets in dresses / skirts. BEST EVAR.

Yeah, so I love it. Anywho. It’s my fave.

Here are some ways that I have worn the LACE DRESS (two ways, to be exact here) recently:

WAY I WORE IT NUMBER ONE:

So yeah, do you own a lace dress? Would you wear a lace dress? Do you have a favorite dress?

As usual, I am linking up with The Pleated Poppy, Little Bit of Lacquer, Two Thirty Five Designs, and Rolled Up Pretty today!

xoxo all for now.

“19 So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. 22 You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” -Ephesians 2:19-22

This is such a cute post…and an even cuter dress. Lace seems to be all the rage right now so I have to wonder why I still don’t own a lace dress!? I do own…well I am about to own that necklace though-I just ordered one in yellow and it should be here any day now. It looks so great on you that I think I may just order it in that color as well!

Holy crudmoly!!! What a beautiful dress!? By the way, that first photo should be printed and framed. It is beautiful and totally artsy! I’ve been looking for a lace dress that will flatter my figure, but so far to no avail. PS: You have some rockin stems girl. Especially in the blue heels. Beautiful!!

That lace dress is just gorgeous on you, Molly! I love how you styled it with the belt and statement necklace. I’m taking notes on the second look for my own lace dress (mine is blue). :)

LOVE this dress!!! I like both options but the blues really pop on the second outfit. I also like your “arty” photos. I’ve been feeling a little annoyed with my own photos lately so I like seeing your cute ones. :)

Oh, I love it! I’ve been wanting a lace dress, but would also settle for a lace top. The way you styled it is perfect…I don’t think you can go wrong with cowboy boots :) and I must admit, I love pulling out the dress I wore for my rehearsal dinner 2 years ago!
