The Beach-Themed-Wedding Guest #Fashion

You guys, I’m not gonna lie, I am LOVING being a wedding guest. A MARRIED wedding guest. I don’t have to worry about planning my own wedding anymore. That’s done and the Lord said it was good, and it was. Now, I get to be the GUEST. WOOP!

Well, I figured I’d at least share what I’m wearing to weddings this season. I mean, cause why not?

YA HEAR?

Wedding Guest Outfit Deets:

  • Aztec Print One-Shoulder Dress: Belk (old, last seen here)
  • Nude Pumps: Nine West (last seen here)
  • Jewelry: No idea… all a mix of old stuff

I LOVE this dress. I love the print, it’s comfortable, lightweight, and I think the cut is flattering and forgiving. I also think that it doesn’t need much so I didn’t wear a necklace, or big earrings, or big bracelets… I wanted to keep it simple and put the focus on the dress. Oh, and cause I like to think that my husband is my best accessory. :) Seriously. So hunky.

John and I went to John’s cousin’s wedding a few weeks ago (now my cousin, too!) Below is John’s cousin (the bride, London, and her groom Taylor!)

BOOM! THE KISS!! I love Taylor’s grandmother’s look on her face in the background… SO sweet!

This was Bert. Bert the Beta fish. He was our centerpiece. I wanted to take him home, but because I cared about Bert, I didn’t, because I would kill him in a matter of days. I can’t keep a fish alive to save MY life.

Bride’s cake! HOW COOL IS THAT?

Groom’s cake! Love it.

Little Leighton. HOW CUTE IS SHE?!

Me and MY groom!

My wonderful in-laws! <3

John and me with the lovely bride, London :)

…and for good measure, and because she asked for it, John’s cousin Alex took this picture of herself with my camera. It cracks me up EVERY TIME I look at it. And, because I think Alex is awesome, and because she’s my cousin now, too… I had to post it on the blog. HAHAHA. Love you, Alex!! :)

HAHAH. Love it.

What are YOU wearing to weddings this year? Do you have a lot of weddings to attend?

xoxo, all for now.

“19 So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. 22 You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” -Ephesians 2:19-22

I agree going to weddings after your own is much more enjoyable. For years, I went to weddings with my note-taking hat on, thinking “when I get married I will/won’t do…” But now that I’m married, I can totally kick back and enjoy, ha! and I am still baffled that we don’t have one wedding to attend this year…oh well!

I was SO freakin’ excited for the first wedding we went to after ours – it was the best to just relax and not be worried about talking to 150 people! Love your dress Molly – that belt is the cutest :)
