Mint Jeans & Bubble Necklace So Hard…

You guys, be forewarned, there are a lot of trends in this post: mint jeans, a faux JCrew necklace via eBay, large sunglasses, awkward poses. Yep, they’re all there. You’ve been warned.

So, with that, I present, mint jeans and bubble necklaces: THREE (and a half) WAYS!

[Look One: Running Errands]

[Jeans: Target, Shirt: Wal-mart, Jean Jacket: Old Navy, Shoes: TOMS, Necklace: JCrew via eBay, Bag: Longchamp]

[Look Two: Going to Church]

[Jeans: Target, Shirt: Thrifted, Jean Jacket: Old Navy, Shoes: Target, Necklace: JCrew via eBay, Bag: Longchamp]

[Look Three: Trendy Sporty?]

[Jeans: Target, Shirt: LOFTCardigan: Express, Shoes: Converse All Star, Necklace: JCrew via eBay]

You know, a bonus (this is the “and a half”): remember this look? Just another example of a way you can rock the mint jeans:

Also, holy smokes… tomorrow is AUGUST, y’all. AUGUST. Oh man. Where has the time gone?

Also, because I have no shame and because I want y’all to know I keep it real and I am who I say I am… I’m going to share this video with you (embedded below, but linked here as well). So, I had this GRAND idea of putting together a video showing the different ways to style the “long-strand pearl necklace” that I’ve been wearing a lot (also here). Well, something happened mid-way through taping… and I decided to roll with it. Don’t judge me.

Also, REALLY YouTube?! THAT’S the screenshot you choose? Oy. Le sigh.

Happy Tuesday, y’all.

#YOLOMondays Link-Up: Sparkles + Calling all Raleigh, Durham, Triangle NC Fashion & Beauty Bloggers!

You guys, I’m going to go ahead and address the elephant in the blog: I know I’m wearing a blazer, jeans, boots and it’s a million degrees in North Carolina.

I’m not going to lie – I’m kind of ready for fall and I’m kind of ready for cooler weather clothes. So I wore this last week. Sue me. I justify the blazer when I’m in the air conditioning. Right? Right.

I was feeling fancy and I remembered this outfit I saw Bonnie from MiniMeStyle rock a while ago (as in like 5 months ago), and so I threw this diddy together and “Molly-ized” it.

Molly-ized. I like that term. I need to use that more.

Anywho. I love the contrast of denim and sequins and a blazer. It’s kind of my fave.

Okay, now… CALLING ALL RALEIGH / DURHAM / CHAPEL HILL / CARRBORO/ HILLSBOROUGH / TRIANGLE, NORTH CAROLINA FASHION, BEAUTY, AND LIFESTYLE BLOGGERS!!!

I have a REALLY exciting announcement coming soon. It’s still super secret, BUT, if you’re a fashion, beauty, or lifestyle blogger living in this area of North Carolina and you’re interested in, you know, meeting and having fun with other fashion, beauty, or lifestyle bloggers, email me (molly [at] themollybuckley [dot] com) OR you can just leave a comment below letting me know you live in the area. Let me know!

And don’t worry, the announcement is coming soon! Just got a few more loose ends to tie up! :)

Also, mark your calendars for August 16th, 2012 from 7-9pm. It’s a Thursday. Trust me. Just trust me. :)

I’m throwing this last picture in because I have NO idea how my hair did that in this picture. For serial. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MY HAIR?

He Can Use You

You guys, Happy Sunday!

It was a great service at church, a great meeting in preparation for Kenya, a great lunch with the team, and a great afternoon taking a nap of epic proportions.

But all day, this one particular quote from today’s sermon has stuck with me:

“God is not attracted to people’s abilities. And He is not distracted by people’s inabilities.”

-Scott Stevenson (our teaching pastor today)

The sermon today was on the story of Rahab, and the way that God was able to use Rahab, a prostitute, for good. It’s an amazing story of redemption. But most of all, Rahab’s story shows us that God can use ANYONE. He doesn’t look at our past, or the outside, or how much money we have, or the nice things we have, or what job we have… He looks at who we are now, without all the other stuff.

And He wants to use us for good. He wants to use us for love, and grace, and compassion.

And that’s an encouraging thought.

Casual Saturday Fashion + Your Weekly Roundup

[Skirt: Old Navy (old, no longer available), Tank: Old Navy, Flip Flops: Rainbow (old), Sunnies: Target, Necklace: JCrew Warehouse Sale]

You guys, so this is a fairly self-explanatory outfit. Comfortable, yet self-explanatory.

With that, I’ll just tell you that I stayed up way past my bedtime watching the Olympic opening ceremonies last night… The Queen jumping out of a helicopter with James Bond? AWESOME. Mr. Bean being hilarious? More awesome.

On to this week’s weekly round-up:

Have a great weekend, y’all!
