A Serious Addiction + #YOLOmondays Link-Up

I’m going to be real with you guys. I love this outfit. Sometimes I just say to myself, “Man, I love this outfit.” You know when you have those days?

I don’t know why I haven’t worn this dress sooner. I got it on MAJOR sale from LOFT back in June (READ: for $10!) and I hadn’t worn it yet. What?! WHY?! I have been MISSING OUT. It’s so comfy.

And then I came across this JCrew photo (right), and I was IMMEDIATELY inspired to bust out my polka dot dress and my fave denim jacket. I love me a jean jacket. Jean jackets go with erry’thang. I love the simplicity of the polka dot dress with the jean jacket, but I love spicing things up even more.

So, I threw in some red Kazuri beads and my red TOMS. Also, I know heels would be “more fancy” with this outfit, but I opted for comfort, instead. Sue me.

Also, I have something I need to admit to you guys. I have an addiction. A serious one.

An addiction to the Sock Bun.

I have so much hair and now that I’ve finally mastered the sock bun, it’s the PERFECT way to get my hair out of my face and look like I actually tried.

So yeah, I’m addicted. Love me a good sock bun.

It’s NOW time for the #YOLOmondays LINK-UP with my awesome co-host Carly from Lipgloss & Crayons! This is such a great way to get to know other bloggers! Love seeing y’all linked up every week. :)

Grab the button :) (code is available in the sidebar, or you can just right-click and save the above button) The Rules for #YOLOMONDAYS Link-Ups:

      1. Grab a button and / or post a link back here in your BLOG POST (NOT your blog’s main page) so your readers know what all the #YOLOMONDAY-ness is about. We love you guys linking up and we do go through and read all your posts… so if you do not give credit, we will have to remove your link. That’s no fun, right? Right. So be nice and share a link! :) Pretty please?
      2. Link your blog post up using the linky tool below! It can be ANYTHING! An outfit post, a giveaway, a story, a recipe, whatever. Why? Cause it’s #YOLOMONDAYS!
      3. Visit a blog or four that you’ve never been to before and leave a #YOLOMONDAYS comment – you never know, you might “meet” someone new that you will lurve!
      4. Have fun! Cause #YOLO!

“19 So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. 22 You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” -Ephesians 2:19-22

thank you so much, alexia!! i love the sock bun! the best hint i have is making your hair a little wet in the ponytail so it doesn’t fall out right away and then committing to the roll! :) hehehe

I haven’t tried the sock bun yet but I’m dying to! I also love this look – Molly – this dress should have been out sooner!!! :) I used to be terrible about wearing clothes after I bought them, though, so I understand. :) The jean jacket goes perfectly – I love the combo of dressy and casual!

    Hi Molly.

I must say this is one of my most favorite outfits of yours. Between the dress, hairdo and makeup it looks very Audrey Hepburnesque. Love it. Great bracelets, too. You are looking lovely.

As always a pleasure linking up to you for Yolo Monday’s.

Stop by when you have a chance. Thanks, Ada. =)

You look so cute with your sock bun. Someday maybe I’ll have enough hair to wear one. Meanwhile, I’ll live vicariously through your addiction.

Also, I just want to say, I wish I had not gotten rid of ANY of my clothes from the 1980s. You would have loved my navy blue with white polka dot dress I had back then. It started out as a German hausfrau dress I found at Salvation Army in Basel, then with the help of my sewing machine and imagination, it became very non-hausfrauish. Pair that with my old denim jacket and I could be pretty stylin right about now. YOLO!

Molly – I LOVE the new blog look! Also, I am a fellow sock bun addict. Anything to save me a little time in the morning and eliminate my need to shower before work on those days I’m needing the extra sleep, ya feel me? I love the dress and denim jacket together. You look adorable as always!

Just lovely Molly!!! and how funny how you found that pic in JCrew!! just perfect! Love the dress…which can be dressed up or down – with the Denim Jacket you and the Toms you made it more casual – but with some heels and a little cardi, it can totally go to a night look. Very cute.
