As I mentioned yesterday, I’m definitely having to get more creative with my closet these days. Now, I’m not complaining, I’m merely stating a fact. It is crazy how big this belly is getting and how quickly. I have a pretty short torso so the doctor told me this would probably happen, but it still blows my mind.

I have a belly band which is what is helping me to wear these jeans, but I’ll be honest, it’s not that comfortable. But, I’ll make do. :)

Anyway, I have a few confessions to make:

  • I am not wearing a lick of makeup in any of these photos. I mean, I don’t actually wear makeup all that much, to be honest. It’s so time consuming. I do rarely leave the house without mascara and at least filling in my eyebrows or putting on some bronzer to look like a human being – but this morning, I was just not caring. Showering, getting dressed, and brushing my hair was enough for me. Ya feel me?
  • Pre-pregnancy I could eat Mexican food every day. During pregnancy? I eat Mexican food every day. I want Moe’s one day, Chipotle the next, arroz con pollo the next. I constantly want Mexican food. Of course I don’t actually give in to these cravings, but I sure wish I could.
  • All I want right now is a Diet Coke. Like a huge, 32oz, Styrofoam cup with crushed ice of fountain Diet Coke. And I can’t have one. Caffeine free Diet Coke is just not good. It tastes like caramel colored water. Or something. So, I drink more water to stave off my DC cravings.
  • I was stuck behind a crazy slow car yesterday on a two lane road and so I passed him on the left in the passing lane. Well, all of a sudden the stoplight on the two lane road is about to turn red and I realize that the car I passed is just going to be stuck behind me at the red light. Thus, basically negating my reason for passing him. I needed to turn LEFT at the light, but just to avoid the awkwardness, I turned right to prove a point. I then had to drive down the road for like a half a mile before I could turn around. So, by the time I got BACK to the light to go the direction I originally intended on going, the light was red AGAIN and that car I originally passed was long gone. That guy wins. I lose. Blerg.

Do you have any random things to confess?

And yeah, Shanna and 17 other bloggers have teamed up to giveaway a Michael Kors watch. Yeah. I didn’t want to tell you guys about it because I want to win, but let’s be honest, that’s just not fair. Check it out! GAH.

    Girl, you don’t even need makeup! You look gorgeous! I’m so glad I found your blog via Marion because now I get to see your baby bump progress! So exciting!

    Also, my mom ate Mexican food constantly when she was pregnant with me and it’s always been my favorite! Just think of it as you are passing on good taste to your baby :)

    Hey Molly, I’m visiting via Marionberry Style. So nice to meet you, and congrats on your new, most personal project! Ah, the short torso. Yup, no room for baby except out. Upside, you’ll probably not gain anywhere else. This could be the perfect time to kick the diet coke habit.

    Oh, and you look adorable sans make-up! {Sigh}

    I’m thankful for the belly band!! I wish I was craving some kind of specific food so I could go get it! I think I am just going to make it up. I do really want thai food – I think I need to say I am really craving it so we can go get it! and you look gorgeous without make up!

    Ah–the belly is so cute! I feel the same way you do about driving, only about sidewalk walking here in NYC. I literally can’t stand to be behind slow wakers, people stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to text on their phone, etc. Makes me so mad!

    I’m totally in the same boat now trying to make my wardrobe work for me, albeit it took me til 5 1/2 months to get my bump thanks to my freakishly long torso. (I was wanting that bump so bad at 14 weeks! You enjoy it!!) I have 3 pairs of maternity jeans, all gifts, and those are my life savers. Super comfy, they don’t chop my body frame up and I don’t have a button plunging into my side.

      aw thank you so much, niki!!

      oh girl – take note of the belly band for when you guys decide to have babes. the belly band is basically this wrap-type thing that is tight and goes around your waist and stomach and it can hold up unbuttoned / unzipped jeans when you can’t button / zip them anymore!

    Just started following your blog and I love it! Congrats on the baby news. I have to confess that I do/did the same thing you did with the whole car thing. I am glad I am not the only one and when I did confess this to my husband…he thought I was a little crazy. Glad I am not alone :)
