Flowers, Stripes, and Thursday! It can’t be! It’s too gruesome!

Holly Golightly: Thursday! It can’t be! It’s too gruesome!
Paul Varjak: What’s so gruesome about Thursday?
Holly Golightly: Nothing, except I can never remember when it’s coming up.

Is it any surprise that my favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s? I know, I know. It’s A LOT of women’s favorite movie, but seriously, I love that movie.

I love that quote from the movie because I feel like, especially lately, that happens to me all the time. One second it’s Monday and the next second it’s Thursday. Sometimes I think Thursday is actually the worst day of the week because it’s a huge tease for Friday and the weekend.

Last week, on Thursday, I had no idea it was Thursday. I honestly went the entire day thinking it was Tuesday. And then THIS week, on Tuesday, I went the entire day thinking it was Thursday. What is wrong with me?

I don’t even know if I can blame it on pregnancy brain. I think it’s just Molly brain and Molly brain is behind a few steps.

Molly brain! It can’t be! It’s too too gruesome! Or something.

AH! But you know what is NOT gruesome? These jeans. Or flowers and stripes together. Nope. Not gruesome in the slightest.

For real. These jeans have pretty much changed my pregnancy style life. I had purchased a few pairs of maternity jeans from a consignment shop and they were just awful. They didn’t fit right, they were uncomfortable, and just plain wretched. But then I went into Motherhood Maternity and said with a bit of desperation, “HELP ME” to the sweet associate and she put me in these and wow. Best. $40. Ever. Spent. Seriously.

Take note preggo ladies and future preggo ladies – shell out $40 for a good pair of maternity jeans. You will not regret it.

Anywho. I’m all over the place today.

Enjoy your gruesome Thursday! :)

“19 So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. 22 You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” -Ephesians 2:19-22

I have to totally agree on the jeans. They were my wisest pregnancy splurge at the beginning of my walk down pregnant lane. Of course, I am now past the maternity clothes stage and at the Dear Lord, he’s coming soon and I don’t remember how this all works stage. (It’s been 18 yrs since I had my last baby. Remarried. Second family, blah, blah, blah…).
As for pregnancy brain, it exists and only gets worse. :) I have yet to get through a week and actually know what day it is.
God’s blessings to you and your little one!

Love your outfit today. It’s super cute. Glad you found a pair of good maternity jeans for a good price.
THanks for your advice about the purse. I think i’ll pass. HOpefully i can find something as nice, because I love the color and the bow.

The florals and stripes together is SO cute…one of my favorite looks from you! It’s a good feeling when you think it’s the beginning of the week and then you realize that the week is almost over. I usually think Thursdays are really Fridays…wishful thinking :)

Love the look!! FYI, Kohls usually sells the motherhood jeans for way cheaper! The maternity section is hidden behind the baby stuff, but they sell a lot of the basics for way cheaper.

I love this Molly! Red is definitely your color! I love that you mixed the patterns, and that bag is fab! Your baby bump is getting big, are you getting excited? Do you know what it is yet? (did I miss if you announced it). I really, really, want to be a mommy, so I love watching everyone else’s journey :)
