Casual Saturday Fashion & Your Weekly Round-up

[Blouse: Joy Joy (via Fab'rik Chapel Hill), Jeans: Seven for All Mankind, Shoes: TOMS]

You guys, I am so excited. I am heading up to Charlottesville, Virginia for the wedding of two amazing people – Jessica and Chris. Jessica, or Koenig, as she’s referred to among friends, is a sorority sister of mine and I’m so so so so so so so excited to see her marry her best friend. PLUS, Phi Mu weddings are basically big college reunions.

Also, this is pretty much the only “vacation” husband and I are going to have all summer… it’s only for a night, but hey… #YOLO.

So yeah, I’m pumped.

Also, I got a really cute dress to wear. So I’m kind of excited in more ways than one.

Weekly Round-Up

Happy Weekend, y’all!

Casual Saturday Fashion + Your Weekly Roundup

[Skirt: Old Navy (old, no longer available), Tank: Old Navy, Flip Flops: Rainbow (old), Sunnies: Target, Necklace: JCrew Warehouse Sale]

You guys, so this is a fairly self-explanatory outfit. Comfortable, yet self-explanatory.

With that, I’ll just tell you that I stayed up way past my bedtime watching the Olympic opening ceremonies last night… The Queen jumping out of a helicopter with James Bond? AWESOME. Mr. Bean being hilarious? More awesome.

On to this week’s weekly round-up:

Have a great weekend, y’all!

Casual Saturday Fashion + your weekly round-up

You guys, happy Saturday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am in Virginia Beach for my lil’s bridal shower and bachelorette party… so ima keep this one short.

I love spicing up a pair of chino shorts with some sequins. Seriously. I love sequins. SO MUCH FUN. I always feel so fancy in sequins.

I really think it’s impossible to be sad in sequins.

I’m just saying.

navy striped blazer and kelly green chinosYou guys, don’t worry, you’re not dreaming. It’s not fall. It has, however, finally cooled down a LITTLE bit here in North Carolina. As in, it’s in the 80s and 90s and not the 100s. Well, one day this week it was even, dare I say, chilly in the morning when I went to work.

Honestly, it was like in the 70s… and our office is chilly from the AC, so I threw this awesome striped blazer on over a sleeveless shirt so I could transition from AC to heat. If you will.

Also, it’s funny because I ALMOST got rid of these green chinos. When I bought them five years ago, colored pants were apparently not cool and so I would get people making comments to me all the time like, ‘Oh, I didn’t know it was St. Patrick’s Day‘ or ‘Wow, those sure are greeeen.’

Well, luckily I didn’t get rid of them, and now, color is in! HUZZAH! Also, I like the feel of the wide flare vs. the skinny pant. I wear skinny jeans a lot, but the wide flare is a nice break from the skinny.

ANYWAY. I am rambling. What do you wear when it’s hot outside but cold inside? Do you have a pair of pants that used to be “not cool” but are totally in style now?

Okay, now on to your weekly round up. This is for those of you that may have missed a post or two :)

Have an awesome weekend, y’all!

all for now.
