Do you consider yourself a risk taker? In life? In fashion? In relationships? In work? In school? In general? Do you take risks? Or do you play it safe?

This is something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently. In so many ways my life is not how I thought it would be or pictured it would be five years ago. Meaning, if you had asked me five years ago that I’d be married and pregnant and living in North Carolina, I would have thought you were on something. But I absolutely LOVE my life and wouldn’t change anything about it for the world.

And in a lot of ways, I am where I am now because I took risks. Now, I could have been somewhere totally different if I had took different risks, but I didn’t. And I’m here. And I’m happy.

But that makes me think about my own future. What other risks am I afraid of taking that are right in front of me? There are things I want to do that, quite honestly, I’m a little afraid to step out and just try.

Why?

Failure. I’m terrified of failing.

But, if I fail, I want to fail big. Or something. I don’t want to kind of fail.

Do you know what I mean? Is this way too vague and existential for a Monday? I dunno. It’s something we’ve been talking about at church a lot recently and it’s just gotten my wheels spinning in my brain.

Do great risks equal great rewards?

What do you think?

[Outfit Deets: Black Tee: Target ($6), Lime Jeans: Target, Necklace: Jewelmint, Sandals: Kazuri, Kenya]

You guys, I love my lime jeans. You know I love these lime jeans. I’m always looking for a way to, well, spice things up with my lime pal. Well, a few weeks ago, while perusing Pinterest, I came across this pin:

green shorts

…and despite the fact that I don’t own lime shorts, I do own lime jeans, and BOOM – this outfit was born. Call it spicy! Or spiced up! Either way, I’m a fan.

I love the simplicity of the black t-shirt with the pop of color in the lime jeans. I don’t know why, I just do. I felt fun. All day. Seriously, I felt SO FUN.

Do you have an outfit that you just feel FUN in? You know, that outfit that you walk around with a little bit of confidence (not cockiness… confidence… there is a difference) and a whole lot of FUN? Or something.

As usual I’m linking up with Rolled Up Pretty, The Pleated Poppy, and A Little Bit of Lacquer today :)

Happy Wednesday, y’all!

xoxo, all for now.

More technical stuff:

If you subscribe to my blog through an RSS feed or RSS reader of ANY kind, please update / change your feed to this: http://www.themollybuckley.com/feed/. I’m really sorry if you were subscribed before and it was messing up – I was having some MAJOR RSS feed technical difficulties (Feedburner is terrible, BTW) – but I fixed it… I think. But yeah, if you switch to that native http://www.themollybuckley.com/feed/ link, the problem should be fixed.

My Attempt at Fashion: Lime Jeans THREE WAYS!

You guys, holy whoaly moly. I had NO idea I’d get the kind of response that I got from yesterday’s post. I got SO many comments on my blog post, messages, emails, Facebook, text messages, etc. Seriously. I was CRAZY humbled by the response from yesterday’s post. If you haven’t read it yet, you can check it out here. I’d love to hear your thoughts. And I’d love to encourage you. In some way or another.

In any event, today’s post is all about LIME JEANS.

Erry’one and their uncle is wearing colored jeans this season. I’ve had a REALLY hard time finding colored jeans in my size – because apparently ALL colored jeans fit like a second skin. Or something. But seriously. I’m STILL on a hunt for RED and COBALT jeans that fit me. But I was in Target last month and found these LIME jeans that were WAY bigger than my normal size, so I tried them on and I loved them!

Now, I usually wear a 10/12 and these are a 15 in Target pants if that gives you ANY idea of how they fit. They’re $22.99 regularly priced but I had a Mossimo clothing coupon and got them for $17.50! I was pretty pumped.

SO yeah, I’ve fallen in love with my LIME jeans and wish I could find the same fit in RED and COBALT. I’m trying. Also, I want pink. Heck, I want a rainbow of colors. I had to just ignore the size tag and realize not all jeans fit the same. It goes back to what I was talking about yesterday. Ignore the number. Wear what FITS you, not what you think SHOULD fit you.

SO, here are my LIME jeans worn three ways!
