Believes in Love + [Giveaway] + #YOLOmondays Link-Up!

[Graphic Tee: c/o Mingo Ink | Boyfriend Jeans: Madewell | Ikat Infinity Scarf: c/o Ooh Baby Designs | Bracelets: Stella & Dot (won in a giveaway), InPink, & Jewelmint | Glitter Flats: Target] photos by the awesome brooke allen

First, let me address the elephant in the blog – yes, these pictures were taken before I cut my hair. There will be a few more posts with pre-haircut photos. Don’t think I magically got extensions or anything like that.

Good, now that we got that out of the way.

I LOVE THIS SHIRT. Seriously. Okay, I know I say that about a lot of things, but it’s true. And you can always know that anything I wear / feature / tell you about on this here blog is going to be something I super love. I keep it real.

And, in keeping it real, I need y’all to know I love this shirt. I’ve always loved a good graphic tee anyway, and this t-shirt really takes the cake. Or the love. You know what I mean.

I mean, I believe in love and what better way to tell the world than to post it right on my shirt. Right? If you’ve read this blog for a minute you know I love love. I believe love conquers all. Love never fails. Love knows no bounds.

When the INCREDIBLY sweet Tiffiney of Mingo Ink contacted me about sponsoring the blog and doing a giveaway and whatnot, after talking with her via e-mail for a while, I realized that this girl is for real. Tiffiney is so smart and so savvy but also has a HUGE heart. A portion of EVERY shirt sold in her shop goes to various causes.

For example, her adorable “Believes in Miracles” t-shirt – portions go to support the Kansas City Infertility Foundation. Her “Believes in Angels” t-shirts go to support the Global Orphan Project. And the “Believes in Love” tee goes to support small businesses.

I really admire people who have a vision and go for it. Seriously. Especially people who have a vision for starting a business or serving others and do it. And Tiffiney is totally that person. She’s been so wonderful to work with and I know her business is going to take off!

And Tiffiney is being super kind to give a still being [molly] reader a “Believes in Love” t-shirt just like the one I’m wearing (it comes in XS – XL, I am wearing a “L” in case you’re wondering).

In the meantime, if you are interested in checking out her shop, you should do it – AND know that this week Tiffiney is running a sale, too! 25% off storewide and FREE shipping for orders over $50! Check out Mingo Ink here.

And be sure to enter the giveaway! :)

Halloween-Inspired Fashion (you know, sans clowns or ghosts)

First, I have to say that I, along with so many, am sending up floods of prayers for all the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The devastation along the east coast, especially up in the north, is beyond anything I can even comprehend. There are many ways to help with the relief efforts, but if you’re looking for a few ways to help right now, you can go here and here. And if any of you have been affected, please, let me know how I can help.

Now, as awkward of a segue as this can possibly be, onto today’s outfit.

Look, I know this outfit doesn’t have any ghosts or facepaint or pumpkins, but it still felt very “Halloween.” And honestly, I probably wouldn’t wear this outfit, or this color combination, at any other time of year.

Orange and black, by nature, is a tough color combination to pull off when it’s not Halloween. So, when I was standing in front of my closet wondering what to wear, I saw this skirt, which I normally pair with navy or brown, and decided to take the plunge and pair it with black.

I also decided to jazz it up a little bit and throw in a print by pairing this look with my new FAVORITE chevron infinity scarf that the amazing Stephanie from Ooh Baby! Designs sent me.

I have, quite literally, worn this scarf every single day since I got it. It’s SO soft, comfortable, and not TOO heavy. Plus, I’ve gotten SO MANY compliments on it. I foresee this scarf being worn a lot this winter.

READ: I. LOVE. THIS. SCARF. A lot. Like, a lot. For real. No lie.

And, since today’s trend of the month challenge over at Marionberry Style was boots, I knew just which pair to toss in for this look. I thought about wearing my black cowboy boots, but I wanted the focus of the outfit to be the scarf and the skirt.

And let’s be real, cowboy boots always steal the show.

Because they rock.

But NOW, my scarf steals the show. :)

Win!

How would YOU wear a Halloween inspired outfit? Would you pair orange and black?

High Five for Friday!

TGIF. For real, y’all. This has been a crazy long and busy week, but it’s FRIDAY. And I’m PUMPED. I’m going on a DATE with my husband tonight. Dinner? Movie? Yes, please!

Anywho. Until then, let’s recap the highs of the week!

1. The triFABB meetup on Wednesday at Graffiti Frozen Yogurt in Durham. I’ll be sure to recap this more next week but oh man it was fun! I love these ladies!

2. Last Sunday’s message at newhope was just one of those really powerful ones that left me feeling energized and refreshed. We even had glowsticks to remind us to be the LIGHT in the world. :)

3. Sometimes I can’t handle the cuteness of our dogs. For real.

4. Katelyn James (our wedding photographer, too!) took this AWESOME pic (below) of the Phi Mus at Amy & Derek’s wedding! I am seriously obsessed with this photo and all the AMAAAAAAAZING photos she took of the wedding I was in last weekend. You are amazing, Katelyn! Check all the photos out here.

5. I WON!! :) You guys are amazing and voted my look into the Top “Date Night” Look in the Lucky Community! Thank y’all SO MUCH. Seriously. I am so humbled by how awesome you guys are. Thank you thank you thank you! You can see the full write up here. :)

Happy Friday, y’all! :) What are YOU celebrating this week?

Linking up today with Lauren at From My Grey Desk and Allison at Two Thirty-Five Designs.

Falling in Love + #YOLOmondays Link-Up!

Happy Monday, you guys!

I am exhausted from an AMAZING weekend up in Leesburg, Virginia for my little sister’s wedding (my little sister from my sorority… I don’t have a biological little sister). It was absolutely STUNNING. Seriously. Amazing. And it was so good to spend time with friends.

I just thought I’d share some photos from the weekend :)

Since my husband couldn’t come up until Saturday, I took the train up on Friday. It was SO FUN. Seriously. I love the train now! Free wi-fi, gorgeous scenery, and so much graffiti. Okay, I know that’s weird, but if you know me, you know I LOVE graffiti… when done well. Seriously. I think it’s awesome. Don’t judge.

Photos from the train…

Graffiti!!

Got into town on Friday evening and headed to Amy’s parent’s house for the rehearsal dinner.

This is me, Amy (the bride to be!), and Claire (my grandlittle):

Bridesmaids with our AWESOME monogrammed robes that Amy got us!

Love these girls. We all happen to be Phi Mus, too. :)

Getting my hair did on Saturday…

Hair done!

In the hotel room getting ready!

Just hanging out before the wedding. :)

Some lovely Phi Mu bridesmaids… and Connor! :)

Holly Chapple did the bouquets and flowers… seriously. HOW amazing are these? GORGEOUS.

We happened to run into this random lady roaming the streets of Leesburg talking to undecided voters. She was actually quite interesting to talk to!

The beautiful bride…

Me and my big, Ashley at the reception!

First dance as husband and wife!

It was seriously an amazing weekend and I will be sure to share more pics with y’all once Katelyn posts them! YES! Katelyn James shot Amy’s wedding, too! Katelyn was our wedding photographer! :)

Anywho.
