You guys, I’m going to address the elephant on the blog. I know those dark spots on the pavement look suspicious like I had a little accident or something, I swear. It’s rain puddles from leaking gutters. I didn’t even notice them until I downloaded the pics off the camera. Drat. Awkward. Ugh.

Anywhos. This is a little diddy I wore to work earlier this week. This blouse is from Fab’rik boutique in Chapel Hill. I know it feels like I go there every day. And that’s because I do don’t. It’s a figment of your imagination. I just love that place. Best prices ever and such cute stuff. Can’t wait till our triFABB launch party is held there tomorrow. AHH. Tomorrow! WOOP! WOOP!

Also, my hair is CRAZY long right now. People keep asking me if I have extensions. I do not. It’s called not cutting your hair. Ever.

Should I get a hurrcut? I’m afraid to, but I feel like I should. Any cut / style suggestions?

Emily Maynard Inspired Fashion: Sequin Shorts & Riding Boots

You guys know how much I lurve Emily Maynard’s style. I’ve attempted to recreate a look of her’s once before. I just love it. Everything she wears. I’m like, GAH! I LOVE THAT! Well, even though the Bachelorette isn’t on anymore, that doesn’t mean that I can’t still draw inspiration from her looks.

When I saw her sequin shorts, white blazer, and riding boots look earlier in the season, I think I may have squealed a bit. And then pinned the look to my inspiration board in hopes of recreating it one day.

Well, this past weekend, I was heading into Raleigh to meet up with some awesome fashion blogger ladies, and it was the perfect temp outside to attempt the look (a nice rain that evening cooled things down BUT made it super humid, hence why my hair is kind of a mess).

ALSO, knowing that this month’s Every Body, Every Wear challenge was “Monochromatic” – it was as if the fashion stars had perfectly aligned. Or something.

Anyway. Enough rambling. Here is my creation (and a little mini-recap of the evening):

I did also learn that monochromatic white is tough to photograph well. GAH. #FAIL.

I don’t think y’all realize how much I love this sterling silver cross necklace. I love it.

Now, onto the Night of Necklaces party!

I was so excited to see fellow triFABB founder and new blogging soulmate, Brooke at the event!

And I was SO SO SO SO SO SO pumped to meet Angela of Head to Toe Chic! She is so awesome!

The event was at an adorable boutique called Clothes Hound in Raleigh. I’m SO excited cause they’re opening one in Chapel Hill this week!

Brooke tried this blue blouse on with the cutest back button detail. I told her she had to get it. She did.

I also got to meet Marissa of Shabby Chic & Cheap – another awesome Triangle Blogger!

It really was SUCH a fun event and I can’t wait to see these ladies and MANY other ladies this Thursday at our triFABB Launch Party!!!

Happy Tuesday, y’all!

Also, I’m guest posting over at Cutesy Bootsie today! I love Brook’s blog and I’m talking about… cowboy boots. Shocker. I’m aware. Go check it out!
