No Words + Link-Up

Sometimes plans just go out the window. I’m a planner – with everything – even my blog. I always have plans. But the truth is, I’ve been sitting here staring at a blinking cursor on my computer screen for two hours trying to think of what to write.

And all of it just seemed superficial. Trite. Fake. Pointless.

Yeah, I’m sharing the last of my when-I-had-long-hair outfit photos (by the way, my sweet blog and IRL friend Brooke and I are totally twins today – we may or may not have planned that. :)but none of that is important right now.

Between the horrific events of Friday and just a heavy day on Sunday, there are just no giveaways, outfits, or words that feel right to share.

Our pastor at church shared this quote in the sermon yesterday which really hit home:

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

So today, I leave you with my brief rambling, a powerful quote by MLKJr, and a reminder to love one another. Love a stranger. Love a neighbor. Love your family. Just Love.

NOW it is time for the #YOLOmondays LINK-UP with my awesome co-host Carly from Lipgloss & Crayons! We had 119 AMAZING bloggers link up last week and I could not be more excited to “meet” you guys and I LOVE seeing how y’all mingle with each other! If this is your first time here, #YOLOmondays is a chance for us to link up anything we want (as long as it’s a blog post…). You know, cause it’s Monday, and what better way to jazz up your mundane Monday than to link up and meet some new bloggers?

Carly and I love seeing y’all linked up every week! The Rules for #YOLOMONDAYS Link-Ups:

    1. Follow your hosts Molly @ still being [molly] and Carly at Lipgloss & Crayons!
    2. Grab a button and / or post a link back here in your BLOG POST (NOT your blog’s main page) so your readers know what all the #YOLOMONDAY-ness is about. We love you guys linking up and we do go through and read all your posts… so if you do not give credit, we will have to remove your link. That’s no fun, right? Right. So be nice and share a link! Pretty please? :)
    3. Link your blog post up using the linky tool below! It can be ANYTHING! An outfit post, a giveaway, a story, a recipe, whatever. Why? Cause it’s #YOLOMONDAYS!
    4. Visit a blog or four that you’ve never been to before and leave a #YOLOMONDAYS comment – you never know, you might “meet” someone new that you will lurve!
    5. Have fun! Cause #YOLO!

Molly my dear, you are gorgeous! I love this dress on you. And I’m completely with you on the feeling that sometimes, there just aren’t words to adequately fit a situation or a feeling. Perhaps that is why our society dedicates moments of silence during times like these…because sometimes silence is the loudest message.

Molly, this is so true – we all need to just relax and think about what is going on around us – may those with hardened hearts be softened. Have a wonderful holiday and thanks for hosting.

It’s so hard to put one’s personal feelings about a tragedy like this into words — or perspective. The stories of the teachers and their heroic acts get me the most. My parents are teachers, and you can’t help but think of your own family in times like these.

On the fashion side, you look AMAZING in this dress and its vibrant colors. Love the pairing with the tights.

I am in love with those dress! And I love the pattern of the tights – it is so unexpected but goes perfectly with the pattern in the dress!

Molly, your E-Shakti Dress is GORGEOUS!! I love how you brought out its jewel tones more by wearing Fabulous, Patterned Burgundy Tights. Also your hair looks beautiful, lavish & sophisticated. Are they extensions?!

I will YOLO-Link my Monday Outfit later, today. ;-) But for now check this out my dear. I got you featured on my blog (this is the second time). =)

I agree that after what happened on Friday, it’s hard to find any words that seem relevant. I liked the quote your pastor shared that was then shared with us and the thoughts of yours you shared! And for what it’s worth, the print on your dress is very pretty.
